{Review and Giveaway} Pirate Books - CLOSED

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Children's Book Group.  They offered to send me some fun "pirate" books to review, and if I liked them, they would let me give an identical set of books to one of you {a $91 value}.


Of course {being a pirate loving family}, I said YES!  Here are the books we received:

Charlotte Jane Battles Bedtime
How I Became a Pirate
Pirates Activity Book
Pirate Nap A Book of Colors
Lives of the Pirates
Sheep on a Ship




We loved all the books, but "How I Became a Pirate" was our favorite.

  2. To enter the contest, you must leave me a comment telling me the name of the book you would most like to win.  Contest is open to Canadian and US residents only.
  3. This contest is not being hosted or sanctioned in any way by facebook.
  4. Contest closes on May 23, 2012 at 11:59pm.
  5. Prize will be accepted as awarded.
  6. Winners will be contacted via email and will have 48 hours to respond.  After 48 hours the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be selected.

    I know Seth (who has Worn a paper pirate hat 12 hours a day since his friends pirate birthday last week) would love How I Became a pirate because being a pirate is his backup plan for if he can't be a knight when he grows up :)

    We already have and love How I Became a Pirate (actually we have Comment Je Suis Devenu Pirate, but it is the same thing in French) but we love pirates around here! I'd love Pirate nap, that looks cute! Thanks for the giveaway!

    All of the books look great but considering I have a 3 year old who wears an eye patch (against my good judgement!!) and carries a hook and telescope, I would have to choose How I Became a Pirate!!

    We have checked Pirate Nap out of the library twice so far this spring! So that would be my son's choice. My personal preference is How I Became A Pirate; I love the illustrations.

    We love Pirates! I think Pirate Nap would fit my kids the best. And we HAVE sheep on a ship, and LOVE it; so if I win, you can have another giveaway for sheep on a ship. :)
